20 cl *Water
2 cda *Vanilla extract or the seeds of half a vanilla pod
2 cda *Brown sugar
2 *Thick puff pastry sheets
2 *Eggs
1 cda *Milk
Preparación
Paso 1 /8
*Peel and dice the apple. Put the cubes in a saucepan, add water and vanilla extract or vanilla seeds. Bring to the boil and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Drain and leave to cool.

*Roll out the puff pastry. Cut out 8 circles of dough with a 9 cm cookie cutter.

*Place 1 tablespoon of apple compote in the centre of the circle. Moisten the edges of the dough with a brush. Fold the pastry over to close the turnovers. Using a lightly floured fork, seal the edges.

*Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Mix the yolks with the milk. Brush the surface of the turnovers with the egg yolk and milk. With a sharp knife, make three small slits in the top of the turnovers.

*Lightly dust with brown sugar.

*Place the turnovers in the Easy Fry with the standard tray. Set on the CAKES programme at 180°C for 10 minutes.
